Speech language pathology involves treatment of a variety of speech and language disorders. Speech disorders are problems with the actual production of sounds. Language disorders refers to a difficulty understanding or putting words together to communicate ideas. A SLP therapist uses a variety of tools and strategies in the treatment of these disorders.
